Three black, five-pointed stars aligned horizontally on a white background.

Your solar company is gone. We're not.

If the company that installed your solar went bankrupt, got bought, or just stopped answering the phone, your system is now an orphan. We adopt orphan systems. We answer the phone.

15 minutes. No sales pitch. You keep the report.

What happens when your installer disappears.

Between 2022 and 2026, more than fifty California solar contractors have shut down. Some filed bankruptcy. Some got bought and discontinued the service line. Some just stopped returning calls. The customers they installed are still out there with panels on the roof and no one to call when something goes wrong.

Monitoring stops working.

Most installers host monitoring dashboards on their own servers. When they close, the dashboard goes dark. You can't see production. You can't see faults. You're flying blind.

Warranty claims hit a wall.

The panel and inverter manufacturers still honor their warranties. But you need an installer to file the claim. Without one, you're stuck paying out of pocket or chasing paperwork no one wants to sign.

Output quietly drops.

An unserviced solar system loses 8 to 15 percent of its output in the first five years. Soiling, dropped strings, failing optimizers, nothing catastrophic, just slow bleeding. Most homeowners don't notice until their utility bill climbs back up.

We're the crew you call when the first crew is gone.

Cervus Solar is a veteran-owned California contractor based in Los Angeles. We hold the C-10 electrical license and the B general building license. That matters because when the work under your array needs roofing, structural, or electrical, we handle all of it on one truck.

Most solar service shops sub it out. Sub work means more markups, more schedule risk, and more finger-pointing when something goes wrong.

The Cervus team carries DVBE and SBE certifications, works on LAUSD, LACCD, and LADWP contracts, and services residential and commercial solar across LA, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.

We don't try to be the cheapest. We try to be the one that picks up.

Three tiers. Pick the one that fits.

Every tier includes 24/7 monitoring and an honest phone number. What changes between them is how fast we show up and how much we do when we get there.

TIER 1

WATCHTOWER

$29/month + $199 setup

The minimum you need to stop flying blind. We restore monitoring, file warranty claims on your behalf, and answer when you call. No site visits included; if you need one, it's billed hourly.

Best for: small residential systems, outright-owned, low-worry owners.

TIER 2 — MOST POPULAR

RANGER

$49/month + $299 setup

Monitoring plus one on-site preventive maintenance visit per year. Warranty claims handled. 72-hour response on non-emergency issues. Eight hours of included repair labor per year.

Best for: most homeowners. Our default recommendation.

TIER 3

COMMAND

$89/month + $499 setup

Quarterly site visits, 24-hour response on non-emergencies, same-day response if your system is fully offline. Panel cleaning twice a year. 24 hours of included repair labor per year. Optional production guarantee.

Best for: larger systems, leased-to-owned homes, ADU builders, anyone whose system earns real money.

Here's exactly what you get. And what you don't.

No fine print. If it's not listed here as included, it's either an add-on, a separate charge, or not something we do.

  • Warranty claim filing and OEM coordination

Four steps from orphaned to covered.

Book a free triage call

Fifteen minutes on the phone. We ask about your system, your installer, and what's been happening. You get a written summary afterward whether you sign up or not.

We do the paperwork

If you move forward, we track down your original installer documents, warranty registrations, and monitoring credentials. Most of the friction in taking over an orphan system is paperwork. We handle it.

First site visit and baseline

We visit, inspect, test, and document the current state of your system. You get a report with photos, measurements, and a list of anything that needs attention. If there are covered repairs in scope, we do them on this visit.

You're covered.

Monitoring stays on. Your dashboard updates in real time. If something goes wrong, we know before you do. If you have a question, text us. We answer.

The Cervus team shows up in three places: we answer the phone, we show up on time, and we document everything. If you want the paper trail, you get the paper trail.

Questions we get asked.

  • My installer went bankrupt. Can I still use their warranty?

The panel and inverter manufacturer warranties still apply. Those run directly between you and the manufacturer, not through the installer. What's usually broken is the workmanship warranty and the warranty-claim-filing help. We can file OEM claims on your behalf on Ranger and Command tiers.

  • How do you take over my monitoring?

Most solar systems have monitoring hardware that reports to either the panel manufacturer (Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla) or to an independent platform. We transfer the site to a Cervus-managed account so you get real-time data again. Takes 3 to 10 business days depending on the platform.

  • Is this a contract? Can I cancel?

Month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days' written notice. No cancellation fee. If you prepaid annually, we refund the unused months.

  • What if my system is leased?

Leased systems are more complicated because the lease holder usually retains maintenance obligations. We can often still help, but the path depends on who currently holds the lease. Book a triage call and we'll walk through your options.

  • Do you service commercial systems?

Yes. Commercial pricing is different from the residential tiers on this page. If you have a rooftop, carport, or ground-mount commercial system in SoCal, use the commercial quote form or call us directly at (661) 494-6600

  • What's your response time when something breaks?

Depends on tier. Watchtower is next-available. Ranger is 72 hours on non-emergencies. Command is 24 hours non-emergency, 4 hours on emergencies (system down, safety issue). These are real commitments backed by service credits if we miss.

  • Do you work on systems you didn't install?

Yes. That's the whole business. Orphan systems from any installer, any age, any brand.

  • What if my panels were installed on a roof that's now leaking?

Because we hold both the C-10 electrical and B general building licenses, we can do the roof work and the solar work on the same visit. Most solar shops can't. Roof repairs are billed separately from the O&M contract, but having one crew handle both usually saves a day of scheduling and a markup layer.

  • Can you help with battery storage?

Yes. We service battery systems paired with PV arrays, including Tesla Powerwall, Enphase IQ Battery, SolarEdge Home Battery, and LG Chem units. Battery replacement itself is billed separately.

  • Who actually shows up to my house?

A Cervus-badged technician in a Cervus-marked truck. All of our field techs are employees or long-term subs we've worked with for years. We don't use gig-app dispatch.

Your installer isn't coming back. We already are.

Fifteen minutes on the phone, a free written system review, and no pressure to sign up. That's the offer.
